Another project I took part in while apprenticing at Turner Studios was an animated short involving a snowman. Like the Fagen short, the emphasis of the piece was centered around storytelling. The only requirements for the short was that it was to be based around a simple character that could be modeled out of primitive geometric shapes and the project was to be completed in two weeks.
I based my story around a snowman named George. The story is as: follows: George is being shipped to the North Pole, but on the way there his crate, along with several other crates, fall from the cargo plane he is traveling in. When George breaks free of his box he soon realizes that he did not have a rough landing in the North Pole, but he has in fact crashed into the desert. With the hot sun bearing down on him he must find a way to keep cool before he melts. What will he do? You'll have to watch the animation to find out. I hope you enjoy the story. All elements of this animated short were completed by myself.
